After leaving my small-town and venturing not-too-far away for undergraduate study, three significant circumstances converged to cement my intense interest in understanding the complexity of people, especially within the formal context of work.


I would be happy to share the story of the unlikely timing of these transformative events during our introductory call


As with many significant moments of youth, I had only a vague sense of the potential implications of this "aha" moment. Nonetheless, my path from there on continually reinforced a passion and curiosity to understand how organizations (which tend to be quite disorganized) were able to achieve significant things by motivating unique individuals with a variety of talents and interests to contribute to something larger than themselves.


To avoid the overwhelm, I’ve generally approached my job with the most simplistic view possible: understand the goals of the organization, how each role contributes to those goals, and what types of individual characteristics are likely to drive impact from within the general boundaries of their "role". 


Simplistic, yes, but a hepful frame of reference that I often come back to when working to grasp the root cause of a systemic organizational challenge, or identify unseen forces preventing highly capable employees from reaching their true potential.

I am uniquely positioned to help you based on what I’ve learned and accomplished during a career journey that has included both breadth and depth of experience, exposure to brilliant colleagues and even more brilliant client partners.


I’ve worked with stakeholders across industries, sectors, and as an internal partner as well as an external consultant. I’ve been able to leverage key learnings from the variety insightful, driven, and committed empoyees I’ve worked with to become confident that by asking the right questions, using the right resources, and creating environments that free rather than constrain employees will be able to get you and your organization on the right path. 


The many hats I’ve gotten to wear have not only provided the opportunity to bridge the gap between academic rigor and practical business application, The diversity of my experience has also allowed me to understand clients and stakeholders needs, communicate with frontline workers to the c-suite, and most critically, inspire enthusiasm among partners to enact and sustain meaningful change.


While change is supposedly the only constant, integrity has always been core to how I operate, and while my experience in high-stakes and high-impact situations has produced tangible successes and critical learnings along the journey, when you work with me, you can trust that I will advise with transparency and candor, even if that means a sacrifice to my bottom line. I’m not in the business of just “being in business,” and I am truly passionate about challenging myself and others to think differently, and do better. All because of that special day years ago.
